CONNECTED: TRADITION WITH INNOVATION
The bandage manufacturer KERMA is the oldest company in Hainichen. Ulrike Kermes, great-great-granddaughter of company founder Friedrich Max Kermes, has been managing the company in the fifth generation since 2012. Around 220 different items make up the product portfolio today, of which between 50 and 20,000 are produced each year - some of them by hand. Some of the items are only available in Hainichen. Innovations in handling make them popular even in Singapore. In its 135th anniversary year, KERMA is one of the first manufacturers worldwide to be certified in accordance with the latest European Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
