C15-Route
Along the C15 line (Chemnitz - Hainichen), there are a number of interesting Textile Future locations to discover.
» Start: Technopark stop (Citybahn C15)
The tour begins at Technopark Chemnitz, where modern research and industry meet. Chemnitz University of Technology is renowned for its expertise in mechanical engineering, automation and materials technology. The campus is open to the public, and some research centres occasionally offer exhibitions or guided tours. The carbon concrete pavilions on the campus grounds (at the sports field and next to the ‘Start up’ start-up centre) are particularly interesting. The lecture hall buildings and the canteen with cafeteria are located on Reichenhainer Straße.
