Art nouveau design down to the last detail
The Henry van de Velde Museum is a branch of the Chemnitz Art Collections and displays exhibits from the extensive holdings of this collection: on the ground floor, the former dining room and the music parlour, largely furnished with original furniture, give an impression of the original ambience of the ‘living spaces’ designed by van de Velde. On the first floor of the villa, a permanent exhibition in the former bedroom, children’s room and bathroom provides an insight into the wide-ranging oeuvre of this versatile artist.
